According to Wikipedia, toxic masculinity is "a critique of the way society has created men to be dominant, aggressive (sexually and otherwise), and unemotional, both collectively and as individuals." This project is an attempt to shed light on some of the ways that toxic masculinity is enforced through phrases or expectations that may be subtle enough or common enough to fly under the radar. It is also an attempt to showcase ways in which boys and men can challenge expectations without jeopardizing their identity.
